Highest point was getting back to base camp and I knew I was safe from the Icefall. The lowest point was when I had to face the Hillary step after seeing a friend (Martin) go blind just before it. I was terrified and worried that I might go blind and if I went above the Hillary Step it would be difficult to get back down.
-Obviously there was a limit to what you could bring with you both when climbing the 4 Mountains - was there a particular luxury you both brought with you?
Ian
Nothing, on some of these mountains we had to carry everything, tents, food, everything. On Aconcagua a 23,000ft peak in the Andes, we tested ourselves climbing up one side and over the other with all our gear. So nothing extra was brought sometimes and no washing materials for days!

For those with a dream that seems just out of reach, what advice might you offer them?
Ian
Vision drives activity, have a goal and do everything in your power to go for it, talk to people to have done it, get the best advice in all areas that are needed to succeed and make it happen.
Graham:
Don’t listen to those to tell you that you can’t do it. Just keep pushing on till you’re there.
